A rare type of Ibeji possible from the Oyo area. Stylized carving with fine colors. A pair from the same area and studio sold at Sotheby´s Edwin & Cherie Silver collection sale, 13 november 2017, lot no. 64. Sotheby´s described them as Yagba. The Silver pair is also published in the book: Yoruba, Nine centuries of African Art and Thought, NY 1989, page 176, fig 198 ( Henry John Drewal, John Pemberton III and Rowland Abiodun) . In this book described as possible Oyo regional style.
