Extremely rare 19th Century paddle from the Cenderawasih Bay area with a Korwar (ancestor figure) on the paddle handle. Richly carved traditional patterns in relief on both sides of the paddle blade.

We have not yet found any photos on antique paddles of this type from the Cenderawasih Bay area.
