A large and heavy Alafolo club made in iron wood. Classic form with lime filled incised design and very nicely carved sharp edges on two sides of the club and softer raised edges on the other sides. This club comes from the islands of Malaita in Solomon Islands. Age: late 19th C. to early 20th C.
