Tami Islands ceremonial bowl. Huon Gulf, Papua New Guinea

$0.00

A stunning and very old Tami Islands feast/ceremonial bowl. Carved in hardwood. The big face, depicting a spirit, wears a “Oa balan” three-peaked headdress (used by prominent men). Perfect condition with very fine age and wear patina.

The rather small size of this bowl makes the carving very prominent and the object easy to display.

L. 42 cm, W. 18 cm
