Native American Talking Stick

Talking stick made in root wood with deer antler and decorated with beautiful horse hair crafts. Early 20th century or older. South west USA, possibly Zuni or Pueblo. Nice age patina, one very old burn damage on one side of the stick. Old paper label from Wallis & Wallis auction house, with auction number 133 and lot number 1498. Auction in september 1966, the lot was described in the catalogue as: American Indian root wood club,21", with antler tip set in end.

Provenance: Old Swedish collection, Wallis & Wallis auction 1966, British collection.
