A very nice Korobase bird mask used in the Bugaku Korobase dance Tsurumai (Crane dance). A dance with 4 dancers in identical clothes and masks performing a slow and quite dance in coordinated moments.

The text on the label on the backside of the mask identify the mask as Korobase and have a red artist or manufacturer seal.

Bugaku is an official court dance dating back to the 6th century. Each dance has its own mask and is named after the mask.
