Oil painting by the Cambodian painter Svay Ken (1933-2008) widely respected as the grandfather of contemporary art in Cambodia. He is most known for every day life scenes in Phnom Penh and scenes from the civil war. He was a self-taught painter and started to paint in 1993.

Provenance: Rolf Eriksson och Agneta Danielsson, both worked for SIDA in Cambodia and Vietnam from 91 - 98. During that period they had projects with SIDA in the neighbor countries. Agneta had a big interest in art and developed a friendship with contemporary artists. They collected both traditional & contemporary art.
